Hey, Racquet Stringers

With the warm weather here we figure there will be a ton of folks taking their racquets out for the first time since last fall or players who need to a fresh set of strings to play on this spring. It's not long before the area summer USTA leagues kick in, too.

Do you live in Champaign or one of the surrounding counties and string racquets for other players? Regardless if you are fulltime professional or part-time tennis professional or just someone who strings on the side, let us know and we'll add your name and contact info in the services section below.

Send an email message to TennisChampaign at cu.photonews@gmail.com and we will help get the word out about the service you provide. There is no charge for the basic listing. TennisChampaign's goal is to help area players play their best and they can't do that with dead or broken strings on their favorite sticks. Send us an email whenever you are ready, TennisChampaign.com be here help you.

Whoops! We Missed Two

Okay, I just remembered one more set of courts tucked away at John L. Jones Park, a public facility, in Savoy. That brings the number of courts in Champaign County up to an impressive 112 individual tennis courts in 24 separate locations.

Subtracting the five privately owned facilities, how many of the 19 locations have you played a match? Which is your favorite and why? Share your thoughts and memories about your "home" court in the comment section below.
